Lake Elsinore in So Cal. Someone else mentioned they had 10 left. Saw no one else buying any when I was there despite the display having this model and the M2 with the $1000 price difference in between them LOL
Lake Elsinore??? Off the 215, I am 1.5 hours away. Maybe take the scenic drive over on the Ortega highway

Apple is struggling to sell computers, these will continue to come down. They've even delayed new product releases because of it.
People over estimate how many of the models are still in the wild, at this price point they won't last very long. The M3 pro and max won't be out till 2024-2025 they still need to release the M2 ultra this year and the M3 late this year.

Anyone else pick up a 16" and have second thoughts about it due to the weight and form factor?

I got the 16" M1 Max deal a few weeks back for $2499 and the specs on it are killer, but it's not as form factor friendly as I had initially hoped for with the 14", and I've been second guessing whether to return It for just the base model m2 Pro 14", but I'd be giving up double the RAM (32gb vs 16gb) and double the storage (1tb ssd vs 512gb on the 14").

Just curious if anyone else has had the same reservations about the bulk and size of this thing. I love the screen but it's also just kind of a monstrous behemoth compared to the 14".
The 16" is Massive. I have always owned 15" pros but this newer model is a tank. Super heavy and THICK. If you travel alot I would advise against the 16" but if you work from home and occasionally go out then I would get it at this price no second thoughts.

For anyone debating this or the M2 pro. DONT THINK just get this. The minimal improvements are not worth the extra 500-700 dollars in real world use. Apple made the M1 chip way to good to the point that no one has felt the need to upgrade since the m1. Keep in mind if you do 3d rendering or graphic work pretty heavily the M2 is a definite improvement. Otherwise anything else especially video editing. There is basically no change, and the 3 seconds you save in export time is due to them over clocking the chip which makes the computer run hotter.

KEEP IN MIND. this is the m1 pro chip not the m1 max. Regardless the chip is ridiculously good and will easily last you 4-6 years.

Not sure which 15" Pro you're comparing this to but below are dimensions and weight from the wife's current 15" Pro (Mid 2014) and this one. Not much a difference for us, it's actually thinner than our current Pro. Granted, ours is about 9 years old and people probably still don't have these.

15" Pro (Mid 2104):
Height: 0.71 inch (1.8 cm)
Width: 14.13 inches (35.89 cm)
Depth: 9.73 inches (24.71 cm)
Weight: 4.46 pounds (2.02 kg)

16" Pro from this deal:
Height: 1.68 cm (0.66 inches)
Width: 35.57 cm (14.01 inches)
Depth: 24.81 cm (9.77 inches)
Weight: (M1 Pro): 2.1 kg (4.7 pounds)

I used the chat again earlier and got a price adjustment. It was a one-time exception since it had been over 30 days but that's ok. Didn't wanna drive all over town in the rain.
I was shot down over the phone trying to get a price adjustment. My online purchase was about 40 days ago and the rep wouldn't budge on the 30 day policy. Wondering how did you word the adjustment request over chat? I will try chat tomorrow when they're open again.

Congrats to everyone who has been able to get in on this deal. Remember to check your warranty date - it is almost guaranteed to be recorded incorrectly. You will have to call Apple support and then send them your proof of purchase to get this fixed.

Is it worth spending 700 $ to get M1 Max 32 GB RAM and 1 TB hard drive?
