The C2 and G2 are both already so amazing-looking that it's really hard to feel like you're missing out by not getting the newest, most expensive one. You just have to realize that unless you have the disposable income to buy every new model, you're always going to get behind at some point.
Unless you just have the worst fomo ever, I can't imagine anyone being unhappy with this TV.
I got the shipping restriction notification but used PayPal to complete my order. I'm going to hit up Costco and have them cancel my order from yesterday

This side-by-side video helped too. I learned a lot, including that brightness perception is non-linear (just like sound), and that I probably won't notice $2000 of difference between the G2 and G3...compared to my current 2016 TV lol. (Which I am keeping because it's the last ever 3D model!)
