Ain't nobody buying Amazon basics PLA for $26.58 a roll. This is a decent price for 3 rolls though.

$8.86 per kg/roll. Not bad. Doesn't hurt to try it out.

Almost all negative. Not sure what happened to the product, but seemingly terrible recently

Maybe old stock and needs dried first?

Likely why they're price dropping , solutech did the same a few times after bad batches.

I actually bought a Amazon Basics roll a few months ago and I can say its actually pretty good stuff. The spool itself is a bit wider but its defnitely 1KG.

Downside is that it is PLA instead of PETG/ABS. I actually prefer printing the other stuff as it can resist a high temperature. PLA is good for basics things but as an example, I needed a 3Dprint to resist the water temp of a dishwasher and PLA warps too easily but PETG works fine.

I just noticed that too. I wonder what happened that caused mostly negative reviews in the past year. Maybe not enough people are buying Amazon Basics filament and they're sitting and absorbing moisture? Could also be attributed to the fact that they use heat shrink wrap instead of vacuum sealed bags that pretty much every other filament manufacturer uses. And that might be why they're selling for so cheap, to get rid of old stock.

I've previously bought white Amazon Basics filament and it was decent, seemed more durable than Sunlu filament.

I'm still going to buy it to use as cheap filament for drafts and projects where print quality is not a priority. But I guess if you don't want to deal with drying the filament, maybe this isn't as good of a deal.
