Oh, and appliances, too, but they're not worth mentioning since they're so unreliable.

They have a flash sale on the watch 5 pro with decent trade in pricing. Maybe because the 6 is coming out in a few months.

Haven't really seen anything good so far this week...
Deals seem about as good as any of the "memorial day sale all month!" sales going on.

I've been getting these samsung note phones every 2 years, the last time the Note 20 Ultra. at that time, I got the Note 20 Ultra and the Galaxy Watch bundle for around $650 with trade in (of Note 10, 2 year old phone). This time, I got the S23 Ultra with Note 20 Ultra trade in for around $610 (the S23 Ultra with 512GB and $50 in free accessories: charger, screen protector, case).

I have to admit, coming from the Note 20 Ultra which was full of plastic housing the S23 Ultra feels very solid resembling the iphone 14s.

You pay for the "discount" indirectly through the Verizon service that you're locked in for the next xx months. If you're planning to stay with Verizon for that long anyway, it's OK. But getting locked in prevents you from switching to another provider that has better/less expensive service.
I worked for Verizon corporate, and I agree with you. However for me personally, this always works out better, because I am grandfathered in and have a perm lifetime employee discount of 25% off my monthly bill (I left about 20 years ago). So for me, I can never leave, because no deal from another carrier can ever compete. Yes I am the exception, but others may have similar situations...

I'm in a similar situation with health insurance. I worked for a health insurance company for 35 years before retiring. They provide 75% discount of the premium for the rest of my life, my wife's life, and my kids' lives. That benefit is great (full premium is $2000/month), but I can't use that discount as an example for other people when they're shopping for health insurance.
