I've had good luck printing with Sunlu filament but haven't tried their recycled filament yet...

I actually ordered three rolls a few weeks back. I did my first prints using this filament on a Bambu X1. I ran out of a different black filament (Inland Pla+} mid-print and used this filament. Honestly, I can't tell a difference in quality vs non-recycled. Prints have come out clean so far. Knock on wood.

I'd really recommend folks stay away from buying from SunLu directly (I think Amazon and other similar vendors are fine though) because they have awful customer service and extremely long wait times. I had them bill me and not ship for over a month. After repeat threats of affecting a chargeback, they replied with "sorry, we were on vacation" and refunded me.

yeah, will try it out if random color is available. 10kg of black filament is just too much

I had a similar experience last year. It took them forever to ship and they ended up giving me a partial refund for items that went out of stock.

This time around, I wasn't in a rush so I gave them another try (pre-order of the recycled filament with an estimated ship date of April 30). I got it on May 2nd. Knock on wood, they got their act together.

That's good advice. OTOH, I just bought some Sunlu "neatly wound" and I was amazed at how neat it was. I really hate tangles.

(The 2nd one is Monoprice. I didn't buy so I don't know if it's better IRL. The rolls of Sunlu I bought actually looked like the photo.)

That `WETHRIFT` discount works, but have to be applied within checkout. In cart it shows as doing nothing, but once you get to checkout you will see the -$10.00 applied.

Just to give everyone an idea of what the turnaround time was for my order (only ordered the 10kg bundle and nothing else). I ordered on May 15 at 9am and it was picked up by UPS (Commerce, CA) on May 16 at 11am.

Elegoo 10kg deal is great too. But 6 weeks wait time. Debating canceling that for this.

Like this but I don't use it somuch. Anyone can comment one how long this can be stored before it gets stiff and starts breaking before it reaches printer nozzle?

On my first spool from a 10 pack of black meta PLA I found my prints failing due to spots being out of spec on the last 20% of the spool. The spot I measured was 1.34mm instead of 1.75mm...

I contacted Sunlu but they have not written back yet.

That would depend on how you store it, but with PLA, you'd be ok for a while. I have ordered cheap "used" rolls of Sunlu from Amazon and the ones that came open without a sealed bag printed just fine on the first print from the roll. I printed a benchy just to be sure it was ok. Who knows how the open PLA was stored or treated at Amazon's warehouse and it was fine.
