Its a fan. It will last unless you use it in heavy moisture condition which will warp the blades

Amazon is flooded with ones between $100-200 range. They have more speeds than the ones found at Home Depot. Then there are the ones above $200 that seem to be better quality.

I ordered a 21" fan for my bedrooms which has a six speed remote, dimmable adjustable light. Nothing fancy. If I get at least 5 years out of it I'd be happy.

This 42" is budget friendly but lacks a remote. Airflow is only 2125 which is on the low side. Good enough for a rental property.

For as much effort is involved in installing a ceiling fan (I've done quite a few), I would choose something with a retail price higher than $50. Unless you're flipping a house, get a better fan.

Even if it was free, I wouldn't install this in a house that I live in or own. It's not the 70s anymore - ceiling fans don't need to have loud bearings and poorly-designed pullchains that smack the globe.

Ceiling fans are so annoying to replace and can last over a decade so it really makes no sense to go cheap on it. These cheaper fans are going to have a low CFM and feel cheap.

Hunter fans are great. Easy to install, quiet and well balanced.

If the electrical box is already set up to support a ceiling fan, they are easy to install. It's only a hassle when you need to upfit from a basic light fixture.

I guess that does answer the question of quality fans... But just looked at their clearance section and the lowest price was just shy under $400 lol.
