Are they actually any worse than Anker, Baseus, etc? I'm really asking, because I've always thought of those three (and maybe one or two others) as pretty comparable.

Unless you're in a massive rush, it would be way better to get faster and higher quality cables from Aliexpress (e.g. USB-C, 100W, USB 3.X).

These days they also have the $1.99 Each (3 minimum) deals, and for those they arrive within two weeks.

MUCH worse, just like everything Ugreen. The company relies on compensated shilling for unknowing consumers to buy its products. That includes paying SD for posts like this. 25% of current reviews are from shills with previously deleted reviews for other products according to ReviewMeta. Amazon is in bed with them, too.

Opening the package released a potent stench of chemicals. When i took the second one out, it stank like rotten rubber mats on a stairwell or a public bus, so badly that i cannot use it in my house. One cable is worse than the other. Shower, they smell very bad.

They take forever to charge anything. They work sometimes, but when i unplug and unplug it'll stop working. After an hour plugged in, only moves the dial on the charge by 5%. It wiggle a lot when plugged in compared to others.

At first these worked fantastic. They are amazingly slow. It's not cheap or a good deal if it's not as advertised.

I agree. I actually prefer Baseus over Anker these days, even though they're not nearly as popular. Source: been an IT manager for almost 20 years, in large environments where we buy hundreds of cables years.

Yea shilling aside since thats a huge part of SD in general, I have bought tons of Ugreen (including all three of the types of cables in this deal) and Anker products and have never had any issues with them. They have both become my go to brands for cables and chargers (in the case of Anker). So, say what you will, they really are two of the best chinesium brands out there.
