I feel like people were down-voting "$50 by Black Friday" comments a few weeks ago. Now people are up-voting since it's looking more and more likely.

Would this be a good cache drive for Unraid? NVME slot is already occupied.

I had AX2 and returns because the drives slow to a crawl after you copy like 50GB. Down to 60MB/s tops which is slower than a traditional spinning rust today! You get what you pay for folks. These may be fine as junkers or storage if you don't mind long copy times but don't consider these as primary boot/OS/ caching control devices. You're asking for pain.

I don't recall any instance that I wanted to copy 50gb unless I do system backups, and that is limited not by the transfer speed but other factors. I think most people won't notice the difference even if they use it as a system drive. I have it in my old rig where I play some steam games and never noticed anything odd. I assume high sustained write speed may be necessary for professional work, then this is not the best drive. Maybe pony up for a better drive? You will get it back from your customers with more productivity.

Yeah I use for system images. 50-60gb is nothing. Again these are junk drives. I went with Crucial MX500 night and day better and not all that much more expensive really today.

Where do files lost forever to corruption go? Only Team Group knows. It is the ferryman of the digital River Styx.

Can go slow when copying large amount data, so depends on your needs. On the other hand, once you have written files, reading is much faster than HDD. I'd say it's good for most people

This is a good drive for Xbox One (or Xbox One games on an Xbox Series S/X). Get a $12 adapter from Amazon, and you're good to go.

How would this (or something similar) plus an enclosure compare to Samsung T7? I saw a tiktok (i know) saying making your own external ssd can be more cost effective than buying one off the shelfl
