Good deal but the shipping kills it if you're not spending $30.

Edit: just found this free shipping code!

Don't be put-off by the "Kid's" label
The bottle is the standard Hydro widemouth and you can mix and match caps with other Hydros.

The straw function is great because you dont have to tip bottle to drink.
If you're on a bike or driving etc its nice to not have to put head up.
The lid also works without the straw.
Just flip the spout open and the water will pour into your mouth when you tip.
If you want a standard cap then they work fine
The bottle comes with its own silicone boot.
I consider these better buys than the "adult" bottle because its the same thing with more features - all of which can be abandoned as desires determine.

A tip with ALL Hydros is to screw cap tight.
The Hydros take less twists to open than a lot of cheaper bottles like Ozark that take more twists.
If I open my 32 oz Ozark it takes 5 twists to open
My Hydro takes 2
On a hot day where I drink 5x, that's 25 twists to open Ozark and 25 to tighten - 50 twists total.
The Hydro would be 20 twists to open and close.
That might not seem like a big deal but if you're busy and hot the 30 extra twists is a pain.
The drawback is you cant have a loosey-goosey cap or you can get some seep.
Give a little extra tight final twist and things stay dry
The Hydros can dent more if dropped because they aren't as heavy

I have to say that Hydroflask customer support is AMAZING post purchase!

My oldest son (now 7) is on the spectrum and he loves to chew on straws. For his first hydroflask we had a white and blue kids version. Of course he ended up chewing up the straw lid like always and I couldn't find a replacement blue one on the website to replace it. So I figured I would email their customer service department to see if there was a way that I could order a blue one for him.

Unfortunately they didn't have the option for blue, only black at the time, but they literally shipped me a new straw lid for free even though it was my son that chewed up the lid. I clarified that I wasn't looking for a warranty replacement or anything like that and I would totally pay for the replacement but they insisted they would be happy to replace it.

BTW both of my boys have a hydroflask for each of them and they absolutely love them. The rubber bumper on the bottom somehow gives great drop protection and these have held up to their fair share of drops on concrete and asphalt with no dents, just some scratches to the finish here and there.

Perhaps this is a dumb question, but the 20oz with "straw lid" doesn't actually require a straw to use right? I like the size/durability of these, but dear god I do not want another insulated bottle with a straw. It seems silly but having this extra piece to function can be a major pain when you are trying to run out the door...

edit: seems like it does include a straw and actually a second one in case you lose the first. "with straw lid" is throwing me off. Why not just say "with straw"?
You don't need the straw for these to function - they just work differently.
With the straw you can suck liquid up without having to tip up.
Without the straw you open the spout and tip/suck water into your mouth with bottle elevated

Thanks, this is what I was hoping. I just cannot deal with more straws...

Pro tip: the insulated food jars won't fit in the insulated lunch box.
Thank you! Almost bought both and the water bottle. Ended up just getting the water bottle!

How easy are these to clean. The yeti ones had mold in them after a few weeks of use.

Couple of facts to share after my son have used it for about 2 years
- great build, silicone bottom has been great for drops
- customer service is top notch. The valve popped out and went to their website to ask where I can buy one. They shipped me a brand new black cap for free. Super easy.
- this bottle/cap design maybe discontinuing in the near future. The valve popped out the second time when I washed the bottle. Sent in a warranty claim and they sent me a wide mouth cap with a different valve system. I emailed them again and explaint I want the original valve and they stated that the original cap system has been discontinued. So if you are going to get one of this, be sure dont lose the valve during wash. Else, you will have to use a black cap after (non-matching color cap).

Personally I don't mind a mismatching color bottle cap. But some do.
Great deal for that price. Got mine for $25.

Sorry I should've been more specific. It's the 20 oz insulated food jar that won't fit the lunch box.

Nice! I posted this deal when they were 50% off and bought a set for my crew. They are nicely insulated and keep bevs cold even in the hot car. Downsides I have found is that 1) they don't fit into either of our carseat cup holders and 2) if they are dropped while the spout is open, they do spill (not leakproof). Otherwise well constructed and great bottles!
