I imagine I'd be using the screen quite a bit, as I don't have a monitor. Appreciate the help, will keep looking in that case. Shame I missed that deal.😪 Thanks again!
If you're going to never look at the screen and only use an external monitor, this laptop is ok. It has basically the worst screen possible.
G15's QHD screen is not bad.

Yes, this laptop is not a good deal or value. G14 is better buy if you want screen, but it does get hot.
I'd say if it's a pure gaming laptop then go another direction. I bought this at 950 open box about 2 months ago and love it. But I bought it for business with light gaming. It doesn't get hot but yes the screen is very meh.
How does this compare to last weeks Asus ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition? Appreciate any assistance!
Screen is perfectly fine depending on what you want it for. Unless you're playing triple A pretty looking games or professionally editing it will be fine. Honestly if you need a good screen you might as well just get a PC and monitor. For a gaming laptop with those spec at this price it's aight.

I did not expect Mr. Wajahat will post this laptop. Last time when someone else posted this laptop (New@999) He told it a prime example of catfishing as this laptop is severely underpower and called the deal to be a shame.

Do you see this being $999?
Also, I called it catfishing because the OP didn't mention the display details nor the GPU wattage anywhere in his post. He just mentioned 'RTX 3070' to garner views and attention.

Yes, every screen has its use. I mean, I'm still provided two 22" TN panels at work, and I have no choice but to use them. They let me use outlook so it's fine.
But like everything in life, it's balance. If you don't play pretty AAA games, maybe you don't even need a 3070, and can get a cheaper laptop. But then why do people get OLED screens on non-gaming laptops when they don't play games at all? What a waste, right?
And the whole professional photo editing as the only reason to get a good screen is so overused. I love watching movies, and they look completely different on my 500nit 99% DCI-p3 screen compared to my sister's ASUS with the worst IPS screen I've seen on a laptop (which this is).
Yes, get this screen if you don't have any other choice. but there are better choices, especially since this 3070 is gimped.

A 3070 with even 25 watts more is like 33% stronger then this here. Sad .
