I'm in for a pair of these R3's.

I have LS50's (original) and they're great. I mostly listen at low levels, but I do turn it up a bit now and then and that's when the 50's disappoint.

I'm expecting the R3's to fix that.

I had a pair of KEF Reference One's for many years and should never have sold them.




Based on what? They have speakers are many price points, including a model that's regularly on sale for under $500

Solid deal, might have been tempted to go 2X R3 (LF) + R2C + Q150 surrounds if this deal was available a while back. Pretty happy with my 5X Q150.

Are you using any Atmos speakers with this setup. Kef's are too expensive still wondering if you use any non-Kef and how they're working?

I'm actually returning an open box excellent (but they weren't) of these I received yesterday. They were ($928). If you plan to get these shipped make sure to double check the box all around before accepting/signing for them. The grills on mine somehow got punctured/stabbed.


Looks as if the R5 $825.99 and R7 $1124.99 have also been further discounted.

I got lucky. Actually got the r3 for lower last week. This allowed me to complete my fronts within budget. Glad i did before it's all gone in my area. But best buy open box is very YMMV. The first set of r3 I encountered had bad dents on cones & chips that expose the wood (black version) on bottom of enclosure.

How did you get it for lower? I've been watching these speakers. I think this is the lowest I've seen. Was it open box? Thanks.

yes it was open box. sorry, forgot to write that in first sentence. that's the reason I mention that first set open box was in pretty bad condition.
