For anyone else wondering:

Capacity 20TB
Cache Size 512MB
Disk Speed 7200rpm

These are CMR so no issues with ZFS but be prepared for the possibility of an RMA as the failure rate on these higher TB drives seems to be higher than their sub 10tb counterparts.

I've used WD for a long time and support is usually ok. That said, the recent breach they had wreaked havoc on an RMA I initiated. The data breach caused service outtages where status was unavailable, UPS showed the drive had been received but the website and support chat were unable to confirm. I did finally receive a replacement, but it was a delay of almost a month.

WD has gotten much better about not letting coupon stack with deals. You can check your Paypal Deals and see if there's anything listed for WD (it hasn't for me in a while)

Is this SHR drive or regular drive? Heard a lot of awful reviews on SHR drives.

Need about 8 to upgrade my NAS drive.

Any good deal on 8T-12TB 7200RPM drive?

SHR is a raid config, and product page gives you your answer. (hint: it's a "c" type drive)

Better than the one I got late last year $500 for 2x 16TB ones. Not in the market now though... Computer is getting fat and I can barely move the thing for cleaning!

got SHR mixed with SMR, Yes, CMR will be preferred. I believe Seagate is the only one making SMR drive?

My experience says wait until it gets over 80% full before you see oddness.

Don't need one to use (in theory) for a year or two....
