I have this and used it once. It works ok, but you either have to hook it up to a hose (in which case it isn't THAT much stronger than a good nozzle) or you have to lug around a bucket. I bought it thinking how convenient it would be, but I never find myself using it.

If I needed to clean a spot where a hose wouldn't reach, I could definitely see the use case

I'm all for these the types of "washers". But this unit has such a low psi, it's comparable to a water hose. Unless you need to wash something where you can't pull a water hose, this is a hard pass.

Ive found it useful for touchless car washing. I fill 1 bucket with carwash soap + water. And have the hose hooked up next to me. Rinse car, the use this ryobi tool in the soap bucket to spray off all the dirt, then rinse again, the use the ryobi blower to dry. Takes 10min tops. Cleans car really well. And didnt even wipe it down.

(Note this not a foamer cannon, nor does the manual say this is an ok use. I have no idea if I'm hurting the longetivity of the tool but I've done it for 3 years now (about 10 times a year w no issues))

Crazy, I was just imagining a tool like this and how awesome it would be to knock off bird poop on the driveway and cars without lugging out the big pressure washer. In for one.

Gah, you negative nancies just poured water on my excitement. Still think this will be a nice addition for real quick poop-cleaning without having to lug out 50' or 100' of hose off the reel.

Can you use hot water? Seems like that would be great to get things like bird poop off even quicker.

Hopefully they can figure out a way to get the psi higher on these things.

Keep in mind a gas power washer is probably around 3000psi. 10X more powerful than this.

I bought the 600psi (brushless) model of this. It's underpowered and chews through batteries. Make sure you have big batteries and/or multiple batteries ready for bigger jobs. That being said, for a quick spray of a car, as mentioned above, it's a helpful option.

I'm not sure how useful a 320psi version would be though.

Maybe use this as a 'rinse kit' alternative for spraying off sand and saltwater after a beach day? I feel like one of those pressurize sprayers (that are used for pesticides/insecticides) might be more versatile for that purpose though...

Manual says 110F but I've heard of people using straight up "hot" water. Interesting idea.

I also found a YouTube video of a guy using it indoors to clean showers. He even pairs it with a wet/dry vac and blasts away at the grout on tile floors. Interesting ideas.

I have the 600 psi model - great for clearing off docks/boats/swim rafts where you don't have a hose or electricity - just drop the intake hose in the lake.

It's not very useful at all. I got this during Ryobi days 2020 for this price and hardly use it. As mentioned before, it is only a little more psi than my garden hose nozzle. For anything the hose can't get off, I break out my electric pressure washer. This unfortunately sits at the very back of my shed.

I tried to clean the car rims with the 600psi version and it didnt really do much. This is for people who dont have access to garden hoses honestly.

This is junk. I've had two and they both broke. It will either leak from hose connector or not suction water altogether.

I picked this up from HD yesterday for that purpose. I wanted the 600psi one, but figured this would be enough to spray down kids without hurting them. I also bought the nozzle with a shower setting to further dilute the pressure.

Holding out for the 600psi 18v model. Hopefully Direct Tools has a deal on one soon.
