Got this for a few dollars more a few weeks ago. Good for small transfers on external. Data dumping, don't bother with it.

I'm pretty sure you have a better chance at winning at Vegas Slots than you do at actually getting your rebate from Newegg.

MSI rebates have a reputation for taking 6+ months, plus this uses a lower tier controller. If it were a straight up price, I'd consider it, but with the rebate, I'd go with a SN570 over this -- better controller, higher TBW (480 vs 600), and brand reputation.

It's been a minute since Gen 5 came out, these have all been Gen 3s.

I'm waiting for a deal on Gen 4.

They made a shit load of them over the past few years, and now everyone has them. So they have an excess supply, and minimal demand.

This is cheap because they know with a little luck, half the rebates won't happen.

They over produced these during the pandemic. Samsung has already stated after it clears inventory. They plan to control inventory more tightly to stabilize prices
