For those that don't need this now, direct tools had this + the blower (factory blemished - so essentially new) for $149 + $15 shipping in early May. If you're not in a hurry, might be worth it to wait until the next direct tools sale

I've had this string trimmer for a few years, excellent tool!

Been on the search for a good deal on the 40V batteries, not easy to find. Have a boatload of the 18V and those are always easy to get on sale.

I've had mine a few years now. Only thing that annoys me is the auto feed system for the line. I have to manually pull line. It wasn't this way the first few seasons and I've done all of the suggested fixes.

That being said it's not such a hassle for me that I'll buy a new one but if I had a larger property it would probably annoy me too much.

I got the same item for $149 back in January (with free shipping). In hindsight I should have splurged for the brushless carbon-fiber combo with fast charger for the additional $85

The 40v? How is the battery life? I was torn between the 40v and 18v...just because I already have so many 18v batteries
