Saying you're an early adopter is a stretch if you're only on year 3. You must be doing something wrong if you're having battery issues already . I am on year 7 and my batteries degraded to like 50%. Still using all my original batteries the came with the tools.

I am an early EGO adopter (got them when Home Depot had the contract with them). I have 5 of their tools and 4 of their batteries. I am on year 3 and all my batteries are turning into paperweights. My 5ah hold like 30% of their original charge, and my 2.5ah literally give me 15 minutes or less on like my leaf blower.

The tools work great. The convenience of electric is super. But I am mad I am going to have to drop $500 already on some new batteries. There is no way I would even come close to $500 of gas at this point.

I'm not saying don't go electric/EGO, just be aware that you will be replacing these batteries MUCH FASTER than you anticipate. Don't go electric because you think it will be cheaper in the long run - it won't be.

I don't the the lone batteries are really a deal unless you already have all the tools you want? You can get the 765 blower for $300 with a 5ah battery for example, and that blower is pretty beast. Or a 650 blower for 220 or so.

That's a fantastic deal! Bought one as my 2.5amp battery is crapping out on me and is not in warranty anymore

I just picked up the 650 blower for $190 with the same battery. The cost of the battery is as much as the combo with a tool almost.

yep, bad deal. Even so-so deals like the chainsaw for $199 comes with the 4ah battery.

Wow, isn't pretty much always better to wait for a deal on a tool that comes with the battery and then sell off the tool to keep the battery for a lot cheaper than this?!

Disagreed. I don't need anymore ego equipment, so a deal on a solo battery is welcomed

Good deal. I really want a deal on a 7.5 or 10Ah battery. Ever see those go on sale?

I just sell the tools when a decent priced combo comes along. EGO seems to be in demand where I am located. One day flips. Milwaukee and Dewalt get no bites.

The fan and battery combo would be great to find.

I've seen this battery for $169 at ace hardware, so this seems like a decent deal.

I got the 615CFM blower with this battery and a charger at ACE Hardware for $169 a couple weeks ago. I paid with gift cards I purchased at Paypal with 15% off making the final cost lower than this battery alone.
