Edifier powered speakers are well known and consistently praised by reviewers in comparison. Retail on these seems to range from $300 to $370. Currently $369 on amazon.
DROP has them for $150 and they may sell out at this price.
Main drivers are 3.75" so these speakers are on the smaller side of the edifier powered line.
Bluetooth 4.1
HiRes audio 192khz signal processing through DAC.
No dedicated subwoofer out so would need to use a splitter from input to feed subwoofer.
Multiple inputs.

Also, unless it's changed recently, they have a very good return policy. I ordered some HIFIMAN headphones and HATED them, and they took them back with no hassle.

I THINK you can use the "COX" port to link up a sub with these.
Edit: I was wrong. I checked the manual and confirmed the COX is input. Bummer.

You're right - they're on the smaller side.
While I think some of the Edifier speakers look good (the ones in the OP even match my desk), I wish they'd put the inputs/outputs/controls on the side of at least a couple of their models. In this way, I could flush wall mount them next to my wall-mounted PC monitor.

For controls, the R1700BT [edifier.com] and BTs [edifier.com] have knobs on the side. Some lower models like the 1280s do as well.
