The discount rate is not as good as the Costco one for sure. I just want to check if 1TB SSD will bring the performance benefits. The storage itself is cheap nowadays and professionals use NAS or external SSD for multimedia storage.

FYI: budget for Applecare and regular complete backups and/or cloud storage, as soldered flash storage fails far too often with these things and is not repairable. Just ask Louis Rossman:

Having all in one, 1TB, done, has some value for some. And saving $140 or so (tax) via the Payboo credit card is nice.
FWIW, I'm *still* waiting on credit acceptance of my Payboo application from a week or two ago. How long did everyone else's take? If I wanted to save the tax and make this purchase, I could not do so.

Sure, maybe a NAS is a little more complicated to set up, but external drives are cheap and pretty much as easy to use as internal, at least if you're at home. It is more convenient to have more storage internally, so it just depends how much that's worth to you.
