I ended up buying this umbrella with the Sunbrella fabric when it got posted in the other thread. A few home depots in the Chicago area have them in-stock so you can pick up in-store. Quality seems pretty good. Much better than other umbrellas I've seen in store for this price. Going to compare to the $600-$700 Costco umbrellas next time I'm there. Overall this is a very slick deal.

I just bought one and it says in bold right on the box Sunbrella fabric. This is from the home decorators brand. I also bought the aluminum lounging set which also had sunbrella cushions. It seems they offer quality products at reasonable prices.

I bought the $600 costco version. Can you tell me the difference?

Just went to the store to check it out, fantastic deal for the price. Looks like a few folks have had issues with the mechanism to unfurl the umbrella. At this price it's worth it, and the quality of fabric exceeds the Hampton Bay equivalent deal.

Quality seems legit and not flimsy. Install was pretty easy. Dumping sand in the bag was probably the most arduous.

A similar umbrella is sold on wayfair for $215 regularly. I'll try to find the link. Just bought it a few weeks ago. Looks very similar in terms of build quality with few differences. The mechanism has worked perfectly for us. At this price though from Home Depot, worth buying certainly! If it was priced higher, I would say to pass.

Edit: found the link if interested in saving another $30-50. Priced $200-215.

The slide mechanism on this Wayfair one is completely different and not as robust as the Home Depot one. For reference, this one from Wayfair looks like the one at Menards that can be had for ~$100

Edit: adding link

Can you share the Menards link please? I actually own the Wayfair one, so I'm not judging solely by the pictures. The slide mechanism is robust and very easy to use. The crank mechanism works perfectly, which seems to be the issue with the Home Depot one (see the recent 1 star reviews). You do have to purchase the weighted base part separately. But the quality of the umbrella itself seems to surpass the Home Depot one. The 1-star reviews for the Wayfair are about the weighted base not coming with the umbrella, or people setting it up without the weighted base and it tipping over. There are very few complaints about the umbrella itself in comparison to the Home Depot one. To each their own. Just wanted to share my personal experience since that is usually more valuable than pics and speculation on these threads. Smilie

I bought 3 yesterday for in store pickup. Still in the boxes in the garage with the 700 pounds of sand.
Yep, bought mine yesterday and 200 pounds of sand, still have to figure out when to go about setting it up. Best thing I ever did was buy a utility trailer, makes buying things like this a breeze.

The main difference is that this one has sunbrella fabric.

Do you have a link for that trailer? I've been looking to get one but haven't yet made my mind on which one to get.
