Last time I bought this, the rice was infested by weevils. Threw it all away.

That sucks. But if in the future you or anybody does have to use rice with weevils, the process to remove them is the same as washing rice before cooking. Put the rice in water and run your fingers through it. The bugs float up. Throw the water and do it a few more times to get rid of all the bugs. Being in a cabin with just rice and beans....weevils are just extra protein.

Maybe if you've never had good extra long basmati. Also, lots of basmati ain't basmati and I wouldn't trust this very middling rice to be. The top ranked brands below are all good but won't be easy to find if you don't live in a large metro. Once you go good quality extra long, you'll never go back.

Just bought 2 10lb bags of daawat ultima for $19.85 each. They have a small coupon and a buy 2 promo and along with 15% s&s it came out to 19.85 each

Tastes way better than royal

Edit: usually buy tilda because of price but daawat is basically the same price right now if you buy 2
