I wasn't talking about EVERYTHING that originates from china, just the shovelware no-name garbage like this that seems to make up 90% of amazon these days - products liable to fail (sometimes in dangerous ways) without ANY recourse whatsoever.

Good luck getting any warranty support if it dies beyond your amazon return date. ...and if it happens to catch fire and burns your house down, you have no one to sue.

It's a COMPLETELY different story if you're buying chinese-produced products from a reputable manufacturer that isn't just going to disappear in 6 months time and leave you hanging.

Have seen cheaper recently, but this is a decent price. Bought 2 at Amazon more than a year ago, giving one to a friend. He had it under a shed on a timer; it went kapoot after perhaps 6 months+, I suppose. Mine is in the attic where it is seldom used, but, my, does it light that sucker up when needed.

I am no marketing expert but wouldn't the word adjustable be a better choice than deformable.

You'd literally have nothing to shop for if you did that.

People vastly underestimate the reliance we have on other countries to manufacture things. It's not solely a cheap labor issue, either.

Get over it or move to the wilderness.
