Check your local Costco. Mine has it on sale for $49.99 and the sale goes through 6/18.

Over the weekend we were in Costco and saw it was on sale…unfortunately my wife shot me down saying, "Another cooler? What for? Don't we already have like 3?" Ha ha ha ha.
My name is Michael and I'm a cooler addict.
I have 10 coolers.
Igloo 120 Max cold (2004) - road trip Tx to Ga
Igloo max cold 60 (2012) - work acquisition (repaired)
Igloo max cold 40 (2017) - work acquisition - project supply
Igloo 60 (recycle- rei $20 2022)
Igloo 50 (1995)
Igloo 50 (1998) - inherited 2021
Rubbermaid 10 (2002)
Rtic soft 20 can (2021)
Coho soft 24 (2x 2022)
The Pelican cooler from Adorama (I assume you're talking about the little blue 14QT which I ordered one of those as well) is roughly HALF the weight of this larger cooler.

This one you can stand things upright (bottles, etc) and holds a little bit more, but, right out of the gate before you put anything into the cooler, you're already carrying 13lbs.

Went to Walmart for the Ozark Trail one and they didn't have any, so this might be in my future. Let me know how it is. Hoping the handle is solid to hold all the weight and that is real enough to hold gfs wine bottles like the yeti?

Handle is pretty solid, locks in the upright position. Just tested a normal wine bottle, fits perfectly standing up.

I own the Coho. Wine bottles fit fine and the locking handle is up to the task.

No idea, but I bought the Ozark trail one. Just opened it a few minutes ago, and I'm impressed so far. It is bigger than it looked in the picture. I'm currently debating on getting another one while they are still on sale.

I bought both the ozark 26 and this coho 24.

They were both nice. I like the size and shape better on the ozark. I also
Like the snap closure mechanism. For our purpose we will be keeping the ozark and returning the Costco.

The coho is a little too small. It's taller so it may fit wine bottles but the over surface area small. It also feels bulkier and heavier

Saw this in store and decided against it. It seemed well made and sturdy but pretty big and would weigh a ton when full. Also the toggle clasps were difficult to close but I imagine this makes the seal quite tight. If it was for a mostly stationary use (tailgating, camping, etc) then go for it. If it's for the beach then find something lighter. It's actually big enough that they could have put wheels on it.

Looks like it might be good to use as a porta-potty in an emergency.

I bought one last week and took it camping over the holiday weekend (Fri - Mon) and it kept ice over the whole stretch - probably still has some as its sitting in the garage after unloading. I bought it specifically to be a beverage cooler, for cans specifically and for that role it works great. Good size for fitting / stacking cans, heavy duty handle, drain plug etc. It's pretty heavy once loaded up, somewhat obviously but the handle is up to the task. For something that you move from a vehicle to wherever its going to sit, its totally fine. The rubber handles used to secure the lid would probably a bit tough for kids, but adults should have no problem. Happy with the purchase as it was on sale at my warehouse.

Confirmed $49.99 in store. It's very heavy even when empty, way too heavy for any camping trip - hard pass!

Have to say, I for one hate the rubber "latching" things on all coolers like these. I know other brands do the same thing, but I just think they're annoying a dumb

For smaller coolers, soft side is the way to go. Lighter, has shoulder strap and there are plenty that are leakproof.

I have this Coho from Costco and love it. Look how thick the insulation is. Keeps everything cold and is light. https://cohooutdoors.com/products...cooler-bag

These latches guarantee that your wife and kids will hate the cooler as they'll have to ask you to open each time. Either that or leave it unmatched, thereby removing the cooling effectiveness of these coolers in the first place.
