Yeah. Looks really good for everything except that color gamut... I've not seen that in person. 🤷 ♂️ Should be alright for normal PC stuff, right?
Why can't there be a perfect everything laptop for cheap? 😭😭😭
It is perfectly fine for normal usage and the quality is same as you see in far costlier Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 series laptops (not PRO). For the price, this is really a powerhouse and will fly ay normal work you throw at it and more powerful than any laptops you normally see in $500-$600 range with U and P series Processors.
I have one purchased from my parents in India where it came with 16GB of Ram and the build quality is also far superior. It is made of plastic but a very high quality one, similar what you see in their TUF series Laptops and it has official MIL-STD-810 certification. Also, the typing experience is very good with properly sized and well spaced keys and very good key travels. In my opinion, these VivoBooks do offer one of the best keyboard experience in sub 1K laptops and I have used plenty high end laptops to compare with.
Does anyone have this laptop , Seriously need to replace 7 years old Toshiba laptop i3 , did upgrade the memory in it. Is this the right specs for the price (i will probably upgrade the memory and will add 32gb in it) will this be enough for work ?(usual day looks like having around 3 chrome windows each probably 15 tabs , zoom , slack and microsoft application open)
In for 1 bc I'm not too concerned about colors or camera quality. That being said, would appreciate any other feedback that may convince me to return it …
Can anyone speak to startup speed / bloatware? Thanks!

Thanks for the info! Anything to share Re: startup speed or junk pre-installed?
Is Officedepot a trusted website to buy from ?
Also I'm concerned about the i5-12500H processor and potential heat and noise issues...
I just bought this a couple days ago, it's not noisy and I didn't notice any heat. Also, you've never heard of Office Depot? I ordered on Tuesday and it arrived by some courier service on Friday, today. I think it's plenty for needs.

OfficeDepot is a extremely reliable website and they have a lot of physical stores as well, similar to target.
Regarding 12500H, they have restricted the CPU TDP to balace between performance and heat generation. Unlike full sized gaming laptops, this doesn't pull 80W or higher in maximum performance mode but I think restricted around 60 to 65W at max.
