Just an FYI it looks like it is working without adding an item for $1. I was able to order it for free and had no other items in my cart besides some sauces.

Thanks OP, have the $1 minimum purchase one. Don't know if relevant but I had uninstalled their app and not gone to Taco Bell since the promos sucked lately.

app suddenly decides i'm not logged in..tried clearing data, uninstall/reinstall, nothing. le sigh..why does this always seem to happen when there's a very limited-time promotion happening

I'm not worthy of what happened here... I did the deal. In the process of making my order, they screwed up and made it using a regular taco shell. Here's where it gets crazy: They caught the issue, corrected it and I ended up getting 2 free tacos today!
