Should really be like $150 at this point for old hardware like this.
Unfortunately, supply and demand. People are still paying list price for these years later. Look at Zuckerberg - He kept the same hardware for the Oculus, then jacked it up $100 more.
"This product is eligible for a replacement or refund within a year of receipt if you are not satisfied."
I'd say that return policy alone makes the Switch OLED at this price a pretty amazing deal. Buy now and if the next Nintendo console is announced within that year, you could always return this and apply the credit to the new console (still hoping for the name to be "Super Switch" to add a bit of SNES nostalgia). Unfortunately, Nintendo is not well known for having backwards compatibility between consoles.
I've bought numerous Amazon Renewed Premium items in the past and they have all been practically brand new. All guaranteed to be "clean and have minimal to no signs of wear or visible cosmetic imperfections, and will have gone through a meticulous inspection to work like new. Your product will have a battery with at least 90% capacity".
Wasn't the OLED brand new on sale for $310 just a couple months ago on Amazon ? $300 just doesn't seem like that great of a deal to me.
Not a great deal, just a mini deal lol. A small savings for a refurbished product shouldn't be a deal, it should be the expected price imo. Guess I'm just surprised Switch is still selling at this price, after being on the market so long. I'm waiting for the $200 range to grab a second so each kid has their own.

Very good point.. 1 year return window is generous just in case something better comes up!
Bought 2 HK version from Temu. One was for $194 and other was for $237. It depends on what kind of coupon you can secure but they're brand new and work just fine. I would suggest going that route rather than paying more for renewed. Both situations, you're hosed on the warranty either way.

You may not get the full/original manufacturer warranty, but the return policy for Amazon Renewed Premium trumps ANY warranty, in my opinion. It's a full / no-questions-asked refund within a year of receiving the item based solely on the individual buyer's satisfaction.
If it breaks, return or replace it for free.
If it goes on sale, return it and buy again cheaper.
Something better comes out? Return it and buy the better item.
Not sure you want a Switch and just want to try it out for a while?
Decide you just aren't satisfied with it 360 days later? Return it.
Each individual buyer is going to be different when it comes to deciding what they are "satisfied" with or not, but this return policy is very similar to what Costco's used to be for electronic items. Morals definitely come into play with policies like these, which is again why it will vary between each individual buyer.
nintendo stuff just holds their value. Personally I would try to buy the special editions like animal crossing. That thing is incredibly beautiful in person.
