P.S. - This is the best version of Scott's grass seed available IMO, it is 70% pure seed and 30% fertilizer vs. 50% pure seed and a lot of clay in regular varieties of Scott's seed mixes. The third image is a picture I took of the label at Lowe's a few weeks ago showing the breakdown of seed types and ingredients.

You can also just buy now and plant in fall as all of the bags I saw of this product at Lowe's had a Sell By date in Spring of 2024. Assuming Amazon's stock is similar the seed will still be pretty fresh in the fall.
If not you can always return it or go to Lowe's/Home Depot and buy the same product if it's fresher and then just return the bag you got from Amazon.
