Description A thousand years have passed since a dragon has been seen in the world. Science and technology have replaced magic, which has dwindled until it has become little more than an element of myth and legend.
There are those who still have dragon blood flowing through their veins, distant descendants of the mighty creatures of old. These rare humans have the power to cast magic, the power to heal, and the power to craft alchemical weapons capable of starting wars… or ending them. But they are feared for those powers, and in recent centuries, they have been hunted nearly to extinction.
The few remaining survivors must find a way to change how humanity perceives them or be lost to the world forever.
The Dragon Blood Collection includes three full-length novels of action, magic, and romance:
Balanced on the Blade's Edge
Deathmaker
Blood Charged

The Audible links need to be posted, so that people with Audible credit can use it!
For any completionists, Dragon Blood series seems to run up to 8 books in its series and Fallen Empire is up to its 9th book (which also happens to be the only audiobook not available Audible (at least, not available yet)).
I listened to the first 3 audiobooks on my audible subscription then I got the other books on kindle. Got all the way to the 8th book and I enjoyed it.
These are free to listen to if you have an audible membership.

It looks like Dragon Blood is also free on Kindle (for the non-audio-book) right now. Maybe not a good sign.
Anyone read these? Any good, or free/discounted for a reason?
Dragon blood is awesome and I wish there was more.
There is two spin offs, one the includes the main characters a bit which is good, and another one that reminds me of Stargate universe, which I didn't like as much.

Thanks. I wouldn't have noticed. I snapped up all 3.
Do you know if we actually own them if we just add them to our library for free? Do they, for example, go away if I cancel my Audible account? Something I do every so often. I know the ones I pay real money for are mine forever (in theory) but not sure about the freebies.

There is a purchase for $0.00 option for members (might be level dependent), choose that one if you're worried.

If you add to library, it doesnt mean you actually own it
As long as the book is available for members and you have active membership, you can listen to it.
Only if you go through the add to cart process and you will receive an email confirmation for "non-add to library" purchases

Thanks.
It's confusing. I went back to Amazon to actually buy one of them, and I no longer have that option because it says it's in my library. And then it says "Sold and delivered by Audible, an Amazon company."
So I'm going to hope that means they think I own them.

Maybe I should download them?
If you're really invested you might want to check because what you're describing sounds pretty much the same as what happened when I thought I was buying a couple of titles that are now "stuck" somewhere between being in my library & actually letting me listen to them.
They made me think I'd purchased them at the time. But after dropping my membership they've locked. Fortunately, I'd already listened to them & just decided they weren't worth the joy of dealing with customer service.

they go away if you cancel your membership. only things will remain are the ones you buy and use your monthly credits on.
Just finished the Omnibus for Blood Dragon. It was pretty enjoyable and made my recent vacation drive an easy one. I used an Audible credit on the 4th book to continue the story. 99c is a steal for the first three.

Same for me. I added them to my library, then it gave me the option to buy them once they were in my library.

That's quite the case of nominative determinism
