I love my 7x. I can use it on PC, PS4/PS5, and Switch. Very comfortable even with glasses on, it doesn't hurt the sides of my head. Idc if its micro-usb, way worth it at this price.

You're welcome for purchasing this at full price about a week and a half ago.
Have the 7P for my ps5.
Great headset especially for $100. Wear it for hours and no complaints. Mic has zero issues. Battery is the best thing, lasts way longer than any other headset I've used.

I have the micro-USB charging port version of this, and love it with my PS4.

It's my understanding that the 7X is the same thing, with the only difference being that it will work with Xbox, PC and PlayStation. Whereas the 7P only works on PlayStation and PC. Same sound, build, everything.

Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

I would be getting it to use on PS5 and replace the Pulse3d headset. The sound/mic is great but due to the poor build quality they're barely usable.

The difference comes down to which devices the chat mixer will/won't work with

This is mostly true - XBOX uses a proprietary wireless protocol so you need an X variant to work with it, but the USB adapter has a toggle slider that works for either that specifically or the generic wifi which then works for PS, PC, Switch, etc.

The other key difference is the 7P has a dial directly on the headset for side tone (how much of your voice you hear through the headset), vs a dial for party chat - game mix found on the 7X. Personally I think having the chat mix directly on the unit is more handy because once you pick a side tone level you like (still can adjust it via the SW app on your computer) it's kind of set it and forget it.

I've had the 7x for a couple years. The dongle sits about 4-5 feet away from me with no obstruction for my series x. Lots of disconnections in that short distance. Anyone have any ideas how to fix?

Have you tried updating the firmware?

I have the Arctis 7 (no x or p), using in Windows 10, and love it. Comfy, great range, and crazy long battery life. My friend has the 7p for his PS5 and loves it as well. My functional range is something like 30-40 feet, through several walls and a floor (like when I go grab a snack from the fridge upstairs).

Micro USB is the only "complaint," and it's a very minor one.

Absolutely NOT trying to TC here (it looks like a good deal - so kudos to OP), but I'm now totally turned off by the brand for their misleading marketing.

Look closely at the link for the 7x. There's a big gold circle that says "THE BEST AUDIOPHILE GAMING HEADSET - IGN". In much smaller print right above it says "From the makers of". They could put that same text on any product.

Again, good brand (technically) and good deal. I just hate when companies manipulate and mislead like that.

Edit: Damn - I'm a hypocrite. I just did the same thing by putting "From the makers of" in all lowercase. They're rubbing off on me. Frown

Could be interference from something like a router sitting nearby or even a microwave or something else operating nearby.

Have had the original one for over 5 years, still no issues. Just recently replaced the ear pads which was like $8
