Have you had the V8 Origin specifically? I've had a V8 Animal going strong for 6+ years now, other than some battery reduction which is to be expected at this point it's been flawless. Just asking in case there may be an issue with the Origin specifically, I'd otherwise assume the difference V8s should be similar

same here, had my V8 for 5 years and it still goes strong. especially when you replace the battery with a much better 3rd party one for like $25.

I was able to get Dyson to price match Walmart when the V7 was on sale in March. They even filled out the forms to process the price match while I was on chat with them.
You get the free accessories if you buy direct even if they do a price match.

Good deal, OP. That said, I've owned 3 Dysons similar to this and every one failed very quickly. All 3 basically stopped working unless you take the filter out altogether - not even new ones would fix it, and manual cleaning of areas beyond the hopper didn't help. One also had a battery stop charging. Never again, but if you're a Dyson fan best of luck to you anyway.

I own Dyson v6 & v11. Also own animal sweeper. I will always buy Dyson. Dyson also has great customer service!

this is a decent deal but you guys should understand that this version (origin) of the vacuum doesn't come with any attachments/heads

i.e. its head is great for carpets not won't really shine with hardwood/vinyl flooring…

other than that though if you're picking one up for a carpeted apartment or something it's a pretty decent deal

Well I have 2 refurbished Dysons I got for CHEAP, that have been going strong for years. Everyone has different experiences, yours happened to be bad..

I have a 10 and miss the bin dump on the 8. It's hard for some people to take off the whole head just to dump. Plus the bin is broke now and the whole thing comes off the handle.

Wife asked for one just today, what a coincidence. Picked one up. Was debating between the V10 and this one, but I think this one is better and easier to use, though less runtime. But she usually just does one room or area at a time anyway, so I think it'll be fine.

will the Dyson V6 (SV09 Absolute) accessories work with this? Mine is still working, several battery replacements later, but recently I've been having issues with it that a
complete tear down cleaning and new filters hasn't resolved.
