This statement is completely wrong. Innovelli does outsource their manufacturing and development to third parties, but its definitely not Zooz. I don't believe they are an OEM provider. Also Z-Wave chips are only manufactured by one company, which is part of the reason for Inovelli's price and shortages. Whoever has the most money can put out more switches.

The LED level indicator is nowhere close the same and definitely not the only difference. Feature differences are also reflected in the price. For example, no need for neutral, power consumption, and now 800 series chip.

While I'm not an Inovelli fan boy, I do make sure I educate myself when I talk about something instead of spreading lies and misinformation, that way I don't make a fool of myself.

I don't think you're alone. Unfortunately most smart switches are Decora style paddle switches. At least with voice assistants and routines, I find that I'm not physically using all my paddle style smart switches manually all that much.

I believe Shelly relays can be used to make any "dumb" toggle switch smart.

I have Lutron Casetas in the house, and I do turn off a couple Pico remotes at the top of my stairs at bedtime - they are side by side in a double gang box, and using two fingers to press each "off" button on the Pico remotes usually leaves one of them (sometimes both) still on - pretty terrible ergonomics on the old style Lutron Caseta Pico remotes and wall switches.

does ZEN51/ZEN52 work with Smartthings natively given that Lua support is gone?

Yeah, I'm considering Shelly for sure. I have a few Inovelli toggle z waves as well. Not sure you can get them anymore, haven't checked in a while.

That's a shame about the Picos. Lutron is supposed to be the best.

Innovelli is taking preorders for their z-wave red series switches now.... And they will ship in early June. they're amazing switches. new ones will use the 800 series chip.

Amazingly expensive you mean... pretty sure Innovelli switches are manufactured by Zooz (one of the largest Z-wave OEMs) Innovelli pays Zooz to make some firmware changes and sometime cosmetic changes, like LED level indicators on the dimmer. While cool, they are not worth 2 to 3x the price IMO. I bought a don of Zooz double switches (these also have LED level indicators) . Thats the only difference.

Damn the remote would be good for a certain use case for me but shipping kills it.

Why are there so many different options of the same switches? What are the differences that I'm missing?

Meh, too many exclusions in this sale (not sure why they excluded all toggle switches like ZEN73/ZEN74). I missed the Christmas sale by less than an hour (I believe, or it was a BF one) and I still haven't bought anything from them as every other sale they had afterwards was way worse than that one.

... I guess that means I don't really need this stuff much lol.

Also, am I the only one that feels immenselly pissed by the way they show prices on their website? They show an item with "from $18.95" price on it. Yay, you think, I'm grabbing 4 at this price. Well, it turns out the item is actually $28.95 and $18.95 is the price for a refurbished / used item with no warranty, returns or repairs whatsoever. Seriously, why even sell the item that can be DOA and you won't back it up? Just to be able to "technically" advertise a lower price?

I used to really like The Smartest House, but it somehow feels they became much worse last year.

Sorry for this little rant.
