I use a similar grill to cook with all the time and it's great. You will need something to put it on so that it's high enough to use. If you don't have that, get a regular grill instead.

Looks like a great deal. I already own 2 Weber Q's and would be crucified if I bought another portable grill... ;o) My middle kid had one sitting on the front steps in South Orange at school when I asked him where he was keeping it.. I was like, wtf, get that off the porch... ;o)

Already have Weber Q but these look good. These are great for camping and also great for a balcony set up if you live in Condo/apartment/townhome. If you have a home with backyard, go with regular size grill.

While it's made of 304 ss, for a grill this size to only weigh 30 lbs, it'd have to be light-gauge construction.

Also, the grates are 304ss wrapped; not solid stainless.

That being said, you can't expect too much for $100.

For anyone looking for a high end portable gas grill, the coyote portable is on sale at dicks for 330.

Not cheap, but it's construction is a world apart from something like this nxr. But it weighs 50lbs.

Is this easy to operate?i'm planning to buy one
I have one like this and it operates great. However, like another poster indicated, you really need something to sit it on. Otherwise, it's going to be very low to the ground.

On mine, I actually turned an old grill into a cookout table by removing everything but the frame and adding some aluminum supports (from an old storm door). I use that for my grill and my Egg.

I bought a smoker box and load it with fired charcoal and sometimes smoker pellets. Then I cook with one propane burner on low on one side and the smoker box on the other side.

I really bought one like this for a portable grill but rarely do it. Moving a standard propane tank- is sort of a pain.

Hmm, I have a weber q1200, but it's Main burners: BTU-per-hour input
8,500.

Or this....

Besides my weber grill has been doing downhill owning 7 yrs now. Had to replace a few components and it no longer feels like it is doing 8,500 btu.

For occasional use I'd stick with the Coleman travel or Weber as they come with a stand that folds up and stores fairly nearly compared to this. You'd have to hand carry it around and need a table. But honestly as a heathen I've switched to the ninja grill and for ONE burger for myself I've basically stopped using my real grill unless I have a lot of people over. The ninja tastes almost as good you just don't get the char burnt flavor but it's easier and faster , both to use and to clean.

I love the fact that this grill is mostly 304 stainless. I also purchased a 16 gauge Stainless table w/ wheel from the Restaurant Store to go with it. One thing I don't like is that the lower grill seems are not sealed. But, I'm sure they will seal themselves over time with char. The other thing is that when I cook burgers (or anything greasy) it always flames up causing the meat to burn in flames. The grates being close to the flame guards makes the situation worse. It also maxes out my temperate gauge 750+ on high. I will keep trying possibly with one of the burners turned off.

$269.00 - Regency 24" x 48" 16-Gauge 304 Stainless Steel Commercial Work Table with 4" Backsplash, Undershelf, and Casters. Item#: 600TSB2448SC

I bought this, just tested yesterday.

For 100 bucks, it is understandably lacking features like electric ignition and a temp gauge.

However, I am considering returning it because the rear is significantly hotter than the front. Even on the lowest settings, the rear will always flare up while the front will be too cold.
