Data is data, whether from a PC or PS5.
While you may already know, for a non-enthusiast....The question should be if you trust the integrity of the drive enough to put computer files on it which may not regularly be backed up or are work critical or might take hours to rebuild an OS. For a PS5, at worst you might lose some game saves not copied to the cloud or waste time downloading game installations. If used in a PC, you might lose irreplaceable digital photos, scans, records, etc which might not have been backed up recently -- which is one reason Samsung, WD and Seagate hold such large market shares.

This NVME does not have a heatsink. They only cost $10 on Amazon or similar, but you need one. Without it, the lifespan of your drive will be impacted.

But it is advertised for PS5, no? Should work straight OOB.

Seriously. ADATA is one of the worst brands for HD on the planet.

You are playing with fire if you buy this.

I assume you mean a heat spreader? Most NVME full blown heatsinks are pretty low profile affairs with very short fins anyway so the heat spreader will likely perform comparably in most scenarios.

The ADATA rma issues are likely a bigger concern but for the price I'll give it a shot.
