Speeds just as fast as wd 850x, at least on paper. Not bad for those who missed the wd 2tb 850x at $110.

Yeah, I wished I would have gotten it for $110. I have 2 Gamix Adata drives and have had no issues with them.

I bought them to replace one 970 samsung I had that failed within a few months and have been impressed with how they held up.

I have a 3 year old HP Pavilion with gen 3 NVMe. Would this gen4 run at max gen3 specs, like 3500 MBps? I was looking at the Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB for $55. My current drive is super slow on random read/write. I plan on upgrading the laptop before too long.

Wow these speeds are impressive for this price — if you need a 2TB drive I would grab this BUT if this is a discretionary buy — like it would be for me— then I have a feeling this price for fast drives will be become the norm very soon and a "bargain" price will be lower

Yes, this drive is backwards compatible with NVMe Gen 3 so it should run at max Gen 3 speeds in your rig.
