A low temperature of 52°F in a 72°F room is NOT acceptable. There are more reasons not to consider a purchase but not worth my effort.

Thermoelectric cooler. Not sure a "little box with fan" will lower temps 30+ degrees (under normal conditions).

If this is like my mini fridge from years ago, basically a fan with a square block in the middle of the fridge that pulls heat away. All it's really good for is chilling soda or something else you want cold, but doesn't go bad at room temperature.

Yeah I had one of these back in the day and kept it plugged in through the back of a desk with a cabinet door. If you leave it on long enough it will make drinks colder than room temperature, but not quite fridge cold. A better use for it is to keep drinks that are already refrigerated cold. It will hold 6 12 oz cans. If you don't have access to a nearby refrigerator this is a good solution for you. Works in the car also and used to come with a car adapter. The one I had had a warmer function also, which I almost never used.
