Cpu, RAM disk are amazing specs though
The LG Gram looks interesting. There are complaints against the speakers, but I almost always use headphones anyway, so that's a non-issue for me. The Costco deal is a lower-res screen (2560 x 1600) compared to what LG have on their site (3K 3200 X 2000). But I almost never consume video, at least to the extent that the quality is particularly important to me (my eBook 3 is 1920 x 1080 and works for me just great).
The 350 nits is a worry. I don't really know how big a deal that will be in my day-to-day work.
I cannot figure how/why Costco are offering this for almost half the price of the same laptop on the LG site [lg.com] ($1,099 vs $1,999), The only difference I can see is the 3k display, but everything else seems the same, as far as I can tell.
It almost feels like LG changed their mind about the display and Costco got landed with the lesser screen, so trying to dump them now
I am genuinely wondering if I am missing something here. Seems a bit too good to be true.

As I have mentioned it's not really too much of a factor for me since I am often near a plug and can work off that or at least recharge pretty easily. So it's not big deal but, anecdotally, the level / estimate does seem to decline quicker than my Samsung Book 2. I tend to run the screen quite bright, so that's also a factor.
Anyway, at this point and very much specific to my own use, I'd say the battery life is acceptable, but not stellar, I can certainly live with it and, so far, feel I have a real steal of a deal!
It is, of course, amazingly light but the chassis "flex" I have read about is also not a factor for me at all. The fan isn't something that bothers me with. Aside from a couple of minor display adjustments, I am largely using default settings. I have used this for a while on my lap, albeit for just regular browsing/email, etc and have no issues with heat.
The only minor red flag for me is that estimates for battery seem pretty unfortunate. With largely default settings, Windows is estimating use of about 5 hours (!) and the % does seem to be falling quicker than my Book 2, for normal browing/email stuff. But I haven't actually drained it yet since I am almost always near a plug (2-3 hours on battery is about the most I will ever do), so this is minor worry for me.
I was in the hunt for a laptop with 32Gb (upgrading from my excellent Samsung Book 2, which only has 16Gb) and touchscreen. The transition to 16:10 is also very nice.I would have gone for a Samsung Book Ultra, which is FAR more expensive than this, But that doesn't have touchscreen, which is a showstopper for me.
To have achieved my objectives with a laptop that cost me around $1,100 is well, well below what I was prepared to spend so - this far at this least - I am delighted. Here's hoping my impressions remain this positive with continued use. I am going to hold on to my Book 2 for another week or two, just to be sure, but I suspect I will be able to get a back a good chunk of my money by selling that.
Is the screen bright enough?

I picked this up the other day but have only had so much time to mess with it. Some of my initial impressions:The screen is plenty bright for me but I don't tend to use it outside. Not sure where else you might need a brighter screen than this one.
The keyboard is fine as far as the feel goes. It's smaller than what I'm used to and some of the keys are not there in the way I'm used to. Most of that I figure I'll get used to but I really don't like having to press Fn to get the Home and End keys to work.
Fan is quiet though I can hear it at times. I've been using it pretty heavily (when I do get to it) what with updating, installing programs, transferring files, etc so it may not be the best test. I did notice that at one point the surface right above the keyboard was so hot it was uncomfortable to touch. It's often hot there. Not sure if that suggest a problem down the line or not.
As for the battery... well it seems to drain faster than I was hoping. It's probably not bad for a touch screen with a backlit keyboard but still I wish it were better. I haven't done a real test yet because when I have had a lot of time to sit with it, I've been downloading/installing a lot and really, I haven't had a day of working with it unplugged yet. I have kept the keyboard full bright which isn't always necessary but I forget to turn it off. Screen is usually not more that 75% bright or so.
So it's light enough, bright enough, and quiet enough. Still I'm wondering if the 17" non-touch would be better for me. I know I'll like the keyboard layout better and the non-touch would help with the battery. Not sure if Costco has one in stock to look at. Is it unethical to just order both and return one?
Other than the above mentioned, my biggest issues have been with windows 11... why did they take away the ability for the taskbar to hide when it's not in use and stay on top when it is? This make it much less useful. Now it's either a pain to access or it takes up screen space. Sometimes it's the simple things...

I tried the Stylus that came with it mainly out of curiosity. It seemed to work well but I'm not sure what I'd use it for. What do people use a Stylus for on a laptop?
And a final note, I left the house ~5 hrs ago and hadn't turned the laptop off. I shut the lid, heard it go quiet and assumed it would just hibernate while I was gone. I slipped it under a chair cushion because, you know, it's a new $1200 laptop and I didn't just want to leave it lying out. Anyway, when I came home it was hot and the fan was buzzing fairly loudly. I know it couldn't breathe under the cushion but I'm not sure why it needed to in the first place. What was it trying to do while the lid was shut?

I can autohide it but then it doesn't pop up on top of whatever window(s) I have open when I scroll to the bottom of the screen. I have to minimize everything to see the taskbar again. Alternatively, I can have it always displayed on top of every window. I don't like losing that screen space but that's the only other option that I can find. I can't figure out why they would remove a functionality like that. It's like designing a new car and saying, "We'll just remove the left turn signal on the new models."
I thought I had set it but I guess I have to look into it again.

Also, how is this compared to the dell xps 15 with i7-12700h processor and 32gb ram and 1tb ssd with 3050? All these LG gram have only the intel iris xe graphics.
