Just to mention, the Ram of GT22-1455xt only supports 4000 MHz (as a DDR5). When XMP was turned on, my Bios just crashed.

Little to no advantage of replacing if you're just going to stick to 6000mhz.

I'm only replacing with the 6000mhz rated modules to see if it will be more stable at higher speed and/or lower latency than the 5200mhz rated modules.

Both modules are still the same technology and built exactly the same way, just one was guaranteed to be stable at a certain speed. It doesn't necessarily mean a lower-rated module can't be stable at the same speed.

You're welcome to decide until I report my findings when the new memory arrives.
You're awesome - thanks! I'll just stick with the current ram then.

Dumb question, when does XMP come into play with all this? I noticed w/ the ram that came with the machine that it allowed for overclocking but not with the exact ram I ordered from Amazon, just more GB. Is XMP "allowed" or does it even matter if it's already at 6000 MHz?

XMP is a profile (list of configuration settings) added within the memory itself for setting the memory to a very specific set of settings. Enabling XMP, whether in the BIOS or in HP's Omen Gaming Hub, is just telling the motherboard to set all memory settings to the profile attached inside the memory.

HP's Omen Gaming Hub only lets you set the memory to the XMP profile if you're using HP-certified memory. Since the memory you're using is not technically HP-certified, it will not let you see the option to set the XMP in Omen Gaming Hub. However, setting the memory settings to its XMP profile in the BIOS is exactly the same as doing it in Omen Gaming Hub.

What you did to get your memory to 6000mhz was set it to XMP, then select Custom, and then you changed a few things differently from the XMP profile. You are no longer using the XMP profile, but you copied its settings and tweaked a couple things.

For those that purchased, what are your initial thoughts? After the ram upgrade and some minor software configurations, I really like the system. I've been throwing everything I have at it and it doesn't appear to have any heating issues. Much quieter compared to my alienware, albeit that one is much older. Overall, I'm very happy with the system.

Did you get a chance to test this? Or is the new memory yet to arrive? Thank you.

Kingston KF560C36BBEAK2-64 is working great at its XMP profile of 6000mhz and 36CL. It booted fine at 6400mhz but I was getting a few memory errors in memtest64, so I'll just stick with 6000mhz.

Great news. Thanks a lot! I placed an order for 2 of KF560C36BBEA-32 as the 2x32 kit is now $375.99. Hopefully they play well together.

Quite an upgrade from my decade old Alienware M18X R2 (dual 680m SLI out of which one died). Installed a 4 TB WD SN850X in the second SSD slot (below CPU) and have two more of them coming - one to be used as OS drive and the other to be used with an external 10Gbps nvme enclosure. I hope it is a not a pain to remove the 4090 and that there is enough space to install a 2.3 cm heatsink in the main m.2 slot.

Thank you for sharing your great news.

I also purchased KF560C36BBEAK2-64. When I tried to install these new RAMs, it looks like that one side of RAM base is so close to 4090 Video Card so that I cannot release the Ram Sock locker.

Do I have to remove 4090 first and then install new RAM, and then reinstall 4090? Thanks.

It is not required to remove the graphics card to remove existing RAM sticks; releasing the top clip should be enough to pull out the sticks; same with installing RAM.

Thank you for the info.

However, when I opened the machine and I still cannot figure out how you could release the top clip.

I attached a photo and I highlighted the base RAM lockers which are so closed to the graphics card. did I miss somthing here? Thank you in advance.

The base ones (close to the graphics card) don't have to be touched; only release the other ones (towards the top of the case) and slide out the sticks. Here's an image from the web with the top clips highlighted.

Thank you very much. I tried your method and it works.

Now my 32X2 gb RAMs are running at 6000 very well and passed all the MEM Test.

BTW, how do you handle the orginal 8X2 gb? I see that on your image, you have 4 RAMs on your mother board. Did you have both the new 32 X2 and the original 8 X2 running at 6000 in your system? Thanks.
