Dollar General deal has expired as of 6/4/23. If you have a Costco membership, you can still get $100 packs of PS gift cards at a 20% discount. $25 gift cards are the cheapest denomination that qualifies for the deal – supposedly. According to telamon99, the deal also applies to $10 gift cards, and since the discount is a flat $6, you'd get 30% off instead of 12% if you buy two $10s.

Would it make sense to buy 3 years of essential, then hope they allow an upgrade to plus on Black Friday? Also can you do this if you're currently subscribed to premium?

You'd probably be better off waiting if that's your goal. I think they did a 40% off earlier this year for new subscribers, and the 25% will almost definitely be back for BF.

I got ps premium this time around but I utilized like 10% of it. Just wanted to see what others are getting now that we have experience of how ps premium is.

I don't really understand what Premium adds on top of Extra; upgraded to Extra in February for Horizon and absolutely loving the game library, seems like I won't have to buy any additional games for a long time.

Game trials for newer games, cloud streaming, and a ton of old games PS2,3,P. But yeah it's a lot of extra stuff on top of everything premium gives you .

$90 for the premium plan is such a ripoff. Playstation has become so cocky cuz they winning the console war right now. I paid $60 for Gamepass ultimate for 3 years with there work around

Premium has very little additional value IMO.

I have essentials right now but have thought about going with extra... premium? nah!
