Great cooler, just be aware that it is heavy. Empty, it's about 15 pounds. So it filled up with ice/drinks/food can easily get it to 40ish pounds which will be a little more difficult to lug around.

100% no. I own both. Ozark better size and shape (for me) but coho much better insulation

I love this cooler. I like that it has strap tie-down slots on the ends. I ratchet strap it to the back of my jetski and it doesn't go anywhere. Keeps ice a long time. Great value at $50…

I have 2 of this one because I hate the rubber flap ones, and the seal, hinges, and handle are built well. Also I can stack 2 of them on my old folding wheel cart, because all the ones with wheels are not built for tall people.

One advantage to the rubber flaps - some of them are considered bear proof. I don't think the flip latches are.

Edit: description lists it as bear resistant :-)

I bought this on the last deal from Walmart, good quality, has a drain plug at the bottom, strong handle, nice size to find in second row of my minivan, I have not done an ice test

I understand that the color is nice to hide dirt, scuff marks etc. But from a science standpoint, why have a color that absorbs all of the sun's heat?

Is the insulation just that good these days where it does not matter?

They are only bear resistant if you use the padlock holes.

The latches by themselves are not, but they hide this in the fine print.
