As a deterrent, I'd rather have 20 Wyze cameras obnoxiously spread throughout the house than 2 nest cameras. Having 20 cameras is a significant deterrent and makes you look like a crazy person who also probably has a shotgun in the house lol. Who cares about the subscription just put SD cards in there and you get a weeks worth of recording locally stored.
And yah, with 20 cameras you should get many good angles from all around the house on any event. The v3 cameras are pretty legit too, not potato quality.
I have notifications turned off, not needed. I love these cameras and I live in a sketchy neighborhood.
Hoping some USB <> 5.5/2.1 barrel adapters make these work over my previous camera power cables.

Woot is selling used for $39.99
I'd only recommend getting the newest version ( the OG ) if you are going to buy Wyze. my personal feeling is there is no reason to buy refurbished or older units when the newest OG model is only $24.00 ( $46 for a 2-pack )
I'll be upgrading to the OG's in a few weeks.
