grass clippings doesn't decompose that fast.
It's gotten to the point that if they don't pick it up at my grandma's I leave whatever they left in the road. One way or another it's going away.

Tear resistance? No, no.
Self Standing? With rocks on the bottom, sure.
Moist/dry refuse disposal? Moist is the key word. Wet, not a chance. I have to plan my yard maintenance around the weather and the pickup schedule otherwise these bags will bust out the bottom with most rain.
This is the only way to bag clipping, leaves etc in our area - it's only this or have a smelly recycling can from the grass. Never heard of any waste services accepting them in plastic
Same here, they'll look in recycling bins. I get it to a point though, I get it though, they've made the point of having to send to the dump entire collections of recycling because it's been mixed with non recyclable items, like greasy pizza boxes for example
