Since it has a 1 year Dyson warranty, it was obviously reconditioned by Dyson's factory. We've been using these at some mid-upper range hotels and been looking at getting one when they go on sale, and this is probably the best sale I'll find, looking at historical SD posts.

The Amazon CC warranty protection is a feature that comes from Visa rather than from Amazon. All Visa cards of the same type (e.g. "Visa Signature") will have the same protections. They all cover 1 extra year for any purchase that meets the requirements outlined in the document you can find by searching for "Visa extended warranty". Refurbished items are included, as long as they come with a manufacturer's warranty.
