What's the slick thing to do if I have Milwaukee yard tools but need a pole saw? The Milwaukee Quik Lok version is $170. This is $99 but I don't have any other Craftsman tools or batteries. Reps for advice!

Picked up one from Lowes 2 weeks back when it was on sale at this price. Overall happy with it - it's light, powerful, and the battery lasts a long time. The only gripes I have is that it's hard to control when fully extended (which is expected) and that you need to manually oil the chains which gets annoying after a while.
Thumbs up. When I was a teen, the thing had a mind of its own when fully extended. I tried all kinds of grips and stances to calm it down. Almost got out of hand. Definitely had to manually oil daily when it was fully extended. Now that I'm older, it's not daily but still powerful when needed.

Lowe's also has a comparable Kobalt model on sale for the same price. The Kobalt has slightly better rating (4.4 vs 4.3 for the Crafstman) and adds an automatic chain lubrication.

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-2...5000110503

EDIT: Kobalt is 24v vs 20v for Craftsman. I'm not sure if this makes any difference but thought I'd mention it. However, the battery included with Kobalt is 2 Ah while Craftsman is 4 Ah.
I wonder which one would be better. I am in the market for a pole saw.

You think there is anything comparable out there that is better? A small chainsaw on a long pole, how can it be improved?
Not having to manually lube the chain... 🤠 not in that ecosystem either so to start on a weak path is not worth it.

Get a gas powered one, electric ones are too too heavy making it more of a PITA to use. If only needed for short term go rent a gas powered vs buy something that'll sit in your garage unused.
How long before states like CA and NY ban gas powered machines like this one? Already went after gas stoves. Oh wait, CA is already on this, with NY and others to follow

Same $99 price in store.

If I had 2 kits could I use multiple extension poles in the center to get more length? My local store doesn't sell this to check.

Probably would work but I wouldn't recommend it. I have this model and even with just the 1 extension, it's very flexible. So adding another extension would make it even worse.

That's probably not a good idea.

Edit: I'm wrong I think. This isn't the "chainsaw at the end if a pole" model that's a disaster.

Does anyone has experience with Skil PS4561C (40 volt, 2.5 Ah battery, 10' reach, 10" saw, auto oiler) pole saw https://www.lowes.com/pd/SKIL-PWR...001554447?
It is $50 more, but seem to be a better deal based on power and features. I need pole saw and with Father's Day coming up, I hope for better deal on pole saws.

a pole saw is a chainsaw at the end of a pole
