Unboxed mine today. Very obviously used, scuffed base and docking station, full dust bag, filthy mop area with hair and dirt and grime. Dust in the dust bin on the robot, water in the water bin on the robot.

Wouldn't have minded all of this, but they didn't ship me a critical component to use the mop, the water filter (a big plastic piece). The robot will not mop without this component.

Very poor QA for this refurb program. Contacted Roborock customer service and provided photos, not sure what resolution will be.

Nasty used? The last Roborock refurb that I got was brand-spanking new. Dreame is a decent robovac but not as good as V7Max.

Have a Roborock for less than a year. There's plastic under the wheel that broke. I'm guessing it was screwed in too tight. I contacted Roborock and they refused the warranty stating it's an accessory then directed me to aliexpress to order the part. Weird since they don't sell it on their website and don't state it ever needs replacing.

Prices are misleading. In cart sales tax is charged on the full price, so equivalent price is more like 18% off depending what state you are in

I got the S7 max ultra and don't recommend it to be honest. So much maintenance for one (every few days it's clean this, change that, replace this, buy a new filter), and if it was just that I'd say fine it's worth it vs vacuuming and mopping everyday but the bigger concern I have is that it randomly gets stuck and lost and just doesn't finish the job. I have it running at night since it's loud during the day and at least 2-3 times a week when I wake up the thing is randomly stuck in the middle of a room for no reason (no obstacle or anything).

I have the s7 maxv from a previous deal and I purchased an auto empty dock separately.

Personally I don't think the ultra dock (which makes it a maxv ultra) is worth it.

I've read that you have to buy a mop drying dock separately. Also the water refilling and dirty water tank are difficult to clean.

My auto empty dock is virtually maintenance free. I just simply buy extra vacuum bags. The canister is clean as a whistle. I also purchase extra mop pads and when they accumulate I throw them in the washer at the same time. They come out cleaner than the half ass job the ultra dock does.

Can someone recommend if this is worth it or not? Or steer me in the right direction, I am a newb to the robovacuum scene. I would love a self emptying one which maps the rooms, does not need to mop. This seems like a good deal??

S7 has no camera (the V part of MaxV). It has less suction as well. S7 is compatible with the auto emptying dock (dust bin only). For more details check the comparison information on their site.

Hmmm the new Q Revo is only $260 more with early bird than s7+ refurb. Several improvements including spinning mopping, higher carpet rise, auto refill, self-cleaning, self drying, 5500 suction. Thoughts?

Curious, what is the part and cost? I haven't had the issue yet and wonder if I will need to replace ahead if it's a common issue. Thanks!

In all my research and personal experience with s7 Max V Ultra, it still appears to be the best all around robot vacuum mop for most people. Outperforming the new S8 pro ultra in most tasks. Of course the drying module ($99) is separate and highly recommended. The new "s7 max ultra" if simply streamlined and updated may be the way to go though for $1020 introductory pricing!
