Nice deal, was looking at refurb Dell Latitudes with very similar specs at around this price.
End up ordering an Alienware X14 for $620 after cashback, but might have bought this otherwise.
Alienware is better in every aspect than this laptop for the same price, except maybe the weight and possibly battery life and that the x 14 isn't touch.. You got a way better deal I feel..
I own non touch version of this. Bought refurbished from Acer. It is riddled with problems. Display is malfunctioning and I have no idea why. I trouble shooted for possible driver issues and it might be a hardware problem it seems. 1240p is just loud. Heat solutions doesn't keep up well. As a result it has a mediocre battery life. I had purchased Ryzen 5625 at the same time which I returned because it was 15.6" and felt not so portable but it felt like a way better platform than this Intel one. Stay away from this one.

So, you bought a refurbished and a non-touch model, which is totally different from the one over here and you're telling everyone to "stay away from this one"?
Have you ever bothered to think that those problems you faced MIGHT have to do with the fact that it was refurbished?

Don't forget about the part where it was compared to a 15.6" laptop.

And that it's a different machine completely right?
I've only read good reviews about this particular one till now..

Different machine in so far as touch is concerned. Otherwise same implementation of everything. It is a free advice take it or leave it. For years I have bought refurbished without a single problem. So that is one problem. The main issue here is implementation of the platform. It runs loud very frequently because it gets hot. Now same chassis, same board, same config - if this advice is not relevant to you I don't know what is.

Well if you put it that way, yeah you make sense, i believe you ofc, i thought theyd be different, because id been thinking of buying this since 2 days, and i did infact a few hours ago, it hasnt come yet. So anywways i had been reading reviews about this, and they said it ran cool and it had great battery and that its thermals were different then previous years models, so i thought maybe its a totally different machine..They said it wasnt very hot also, it did run a little hot on the top, idk about inside, i do remember they said the thermals were good and it was redesigned and that it had amazing battery life and performance.. But yeah ig ive got it so ill have to deal wth it, lol, lets see when it comes if i face all these. Thanks for your reviews though buddy, i appreciate it, its helpful to others so dont get me wrong, i didnt try or wasnt being condecending or anything negative. Cheers and thanks again.. I hope your issues are sorted out

Overall the machines are the same. There's nothing significantly different that acer, especially a company like acer, would've done to alleviate the sound issue differently.
I have one of the refurb non touch as well that I got on the prior FP deal. It does get pretty loud.
I'm unsure how important having a touch laptop but I'd recommend spending more money on a better quality laptop. Sure $300 was a no brained for a 1240p processor but this will be in 600s and there's a some great competition in that price.

Just curious what competition is out there for 14 inch TOUCH, 12th gen Intel or newer, 16gb, 512gb or better, less than 3 lbs for $600 or less do you have in mind?

By the way, one of that person's first complaints was issues with screen, so in that regards touch vs non-touch does make a difference since they are completely different screens.
