This is excellent protein powder but is not their 100% isolate, if that's important to you.

I make protein smoothies with the vanilla. Ice, a little water, a scoop of powder and then either frozen blueberries or frozen mango. This makes a really nice smoothie. The mango turns out particularly creamy.
I buy their 100% isolate version. Note that this version contains less protein. Their 100% isolate versions are about 83% (vanilla) and 78% (chocolate) protein. This version contains less at 73.5% (vanilla) and 69% (chocolate) protein. Personally, I recommend products with higher protein ratio if your goal is to get more protein.

Taste is subjective. I like this particular one in chocolate, like their ISO100 in vanilla quite a bit and love ON Gold Standard strawberry and double rich chocolate. Syntha-6 to me is hands down the best tasting chocolate and vanilla, but the least clean of the bunch.

Buy a single serve pack if you can at a nutrition store or a 1 pound tub to try before committing to 5 pounds. Or just buy 5 pounds and chug it while pinching your nose if you end up hating it.

I only buy the iso100 as my stomach handles it way better especially as I'm getting older.

The 100% isolate has 13% more protein - does it cost over 13% more than this?

I didn't say you had to buy their 100% isolate. I said "products with higher protein ratio." You can go find other products that give you a higher ratio of protein on sale. You just have to do the math. You also forget that the ratio isn't the only difference between the two. 100% isolate is much higher quality because it's protein isolate, not concentrate/blend. Pure isolate is always more expensive. This is especially important for people with GI sensitivity or lactose intolerance.

I hear you. At some point, we need to start treating our body with quality rather than being too cheap Smilie

Yup that's me. In addition absorption is much better with the hydrolized iso100.

I thought it was just marketing in the beginning but when the iso100 was on sale for $35 for 5lbs, I was like why not. Stocked up on a years supply.

Can't go back now.

Are you talking about the multibuy deal from Nov 2021? It was like 2 x 5 lbs for $67ish. I'm secretly hoping that they may run a decent deal toward the end of this year, so I'm refraining from buying a large quantity for now. That was when I first tried pure isolate too, and I had the same experience. It also dissolved better.
