had to look up the difference between power strip and surge protectors. Looks like this just offers extra outlets with no surge protection. but i could be wrong?

Wow... can never have enough 3 prong extension cords around it seems. And with the 8 cent washer deal giving me $3 back in digital rewards, this is a no brainer. $6.20 with tax - $3 = $3.20.

Everyday price pretty much (~$3 each) at walmart/target/etc for cheap cord, $2 if you don't need the flat plug [target.com]

I have 2 of them and no complains so far. However, consider it as 2 outlets, since outlets are so close to each other, that you can only use 2 at the edges in most cases but for this price, who cares.
