Just finished beating the game. I thought it was a walking stimulator, but I was so wrong. The game is much more than that. The director cut has much more content than the original, but since I already beat the game, it's no point in playing for the extra content. The game is a 7/10. Despite coming out a few years ago, it still holds up much better than games released today. Things get much better during chapter 3.

I remember feeling a little deflated around then, and yes- right after that is when you really see the big picture. Or, at least, I did.

Like others, completely thrown off by the wonky reviews at launch, watching Daryl from walking dead falling over himself while walking up a hill with a comical stack of briefcases piled up on his back.

I gave in last November, and this became one of my top favorite games of all time. I haven't played in at least four months, and the story/scenery/sounds still cross my mind on a near daily basis.

Can't speak specifically to this deal, because I know it's been given away on PC several times, and available to Gamepass subscribers- but for the right person, this is a an absolute must play.

Keep on keeping on.

Heck Dishonored the definitive edition even remastered has graphics a lot of people would understandably sneer at and I played it for the first time ever Dec 2023 when it was given away for free and freaking loved it .. and that game is so old it will run on a lot of PC's. Might be worth watching out for epic's 12 days of Christmas (do a google search on it to find the dates come December of each year) that's the first time Death Stranding was given away for free I believe. (if you keep scrolling it mentions the batman arkham games given away year 2019 and the tomb raider trilogy was given away Dec 30th 2021 through Jan 6th 2022)

(still kicking myself for missing out on the free Saint's Row Three remastered , loved the original non remastered version)
I bought it for Steam previously. I haven't played it since I missed the beginning area preppers after getting to crossing over the oceans. I got it on Epic free the the most recent and bought the upgrade when it was on sale for $5.

One of the best games I've played in my life. I played the game like two years ago and still think about how amazing the cut scenes and plot were. This game invoked so many emotions. Kudos to the developers of the game

Is $20 the new $15? I don't believe any PS Studios PS5 physical game has yet to drop below $20. I'm tempted to grab this since I have a $10 BB certificate expiring soon, but I'm definitely not playing this before BF so I think I might as well just wait and see. I can use the $10 on PS Store funds instead.

Best solo gaming experience I've had since probably 2010. Story is very crazy and interesting. Gameplay is solid. I was addicted. But I get it if you're an oxytocin driven individual who needs twitch gameplay

I'm in the same boat. Have a $5 reward, son it would be $15, but my backlog is immense so not like I can't wait. Will this eventually hit $12-15? How does one wash the $5 reward toward PS funds? I might do that because there's a couple of ps4 vr games that never go on sale (moss, bound).

I ended up buying the game because I read somewhere that the reward certificates can't be used to buy any gift cards. It's possible this game will be $15 by BF, but then again it might not. I think $20 could be the new low for PS5 games from PS Studios.
