To any newbies to the points game, redeeming your points for gift cards, physical items, or even statement credit is a poor use of points.
This is effectively 1.15 cents per point value (plus buying an apple product at MSRP), whereas flights or hotels, you can get ~1.8 cents per point valuation
Uhm, isn't 'Pay yourself back' better value?
Travel partners point transfer.
My First Class United flight from San Diego to Geneva was 70k points for a $3,500 flight. Effectively 5 cents per point.
With this redemption on Apple, 70k points will get you an 11" iPad Pro or effectively $805.00.
A poor example if you don't travel and love electronics but, essentially, you get more bang for your buck when you redeem for travel.

Just got an email and checked with 3 of my Chase Freedom and Sapphire cards. Login to Chase Rewards and Apple Gift Cards are 15% off. 850 pts for $10 / 17000 pts for $200 etc.
I'm not able to get this to work. Keep getting errors when trying to get the Apple gift cards. Anyone know a workaround or does it just randomly work some days?

I think physical card works just digital does not.
Thanks OP. I used the deal and purchased several gift cards and used those in addition to my Id.me 10% discount to get a new 256gb iPad Pro for a great deal.

What if you signed up for 5% on rotating categories but never intended to fly and always stay in AirBNBs?

Are there any websites that tell you how to look for mileage fares from different airlines? I am trying to use the miles I have accumulated to fly business class overseas. Going to the Chase website, it is super expensive. How can I see different airlines and the mileage they charge to know who to transfer to?

Generally you just want to google something like "best use of chase points business europe" or something and you'll get articles from all the big travel/points blogs about the various sweet spots.
If you're trying to get to a specific country replace "europe" in that search with 'japan" or "spain" or whatever.
There's usually multiple "good" ways to get where you want to go, and so it'll then come down to what airports/airlines work for you, and then availability of reward tickets for that specific route/time.

At first I thought it was my account (tried 4 days in a row without success) but looks like the problem is just with Apple egift cards.
