Around the corner? It will be next year. S23 just came out this year. If you mean around the corner like next year, then there will always be a phone coming out "around the corner".

Samsung really screwed s22 line owners, no trade in value for s23 upgrade, last few years they always gave $800, nothing much this time.

Also be careful buying unlocked or international versions. Compatibility with US carriers might be an issue.

S22 came out just 4 month ago and S24 is still 8 month away. How could it be "around the corner"?

I will consider S23 plus for this price range at the end of this year.
There are some leaked news says that Qualcomm next chip is much better than the one used in S23 in terms of efficient and performance. So, S24 will be good.

I think there were a lot of unsold S22 series. They overproduced relative to demand. Didn't help that SD 8 Gen 1 chip has the notoriety of running hot and being power hungry. IMO they're the best looking S series phones in the last several years but oh well.

Its possible the s22 will get higher trade in values between BF 2023 and Feb 24 when they are trying to unload the remaining s23s
