Personally, I end up playing the acoustic much more these days. It's way easier to pick up and play for a few minutes between work calls and doesn't shake the whole house.

These do not have the balls/dynamics to keep up with a regular guitar and IMO the pizo pickups sound like poo compared to the real magnetic ones in an electric bass guitar.

That's true but I'm not sure that anyone is planning to record or play live with an acoustic bass.
Personally, I end up playing the acoustic much more these days. It's way easier to pick up and play for a few minutes between work calls and doesn't shake the whole house.

Weirdly, it was tuned like a 5 string with the lowest string at B (BEAD instead of EADG), but actually played ok and sounded pretty good like that. But tuned properly, it sounds and plays great. Much more satisfying than playing the electric unplugged.
