Thanks for keeping us bass players in mind Iconian!!
That's true but I'm not sure that anyone is planning to record or play live with an acoustic bass.

Personally, I end up playing the acoustic much more these days. It's way easier to pick up and play for a few minutes between work calls and doesn't shake the whole house.

Wow! Adding either one of these to my collection would be awesome. I'd definitely prefer the acoustic Bass though as I have a regular electric bass but not acoustic.

Electric bass and decent speaker > cheap acoustic bass.

These do not have the balls/dynamics to keep up with a regular guitar and IMO the pizo pickups sound like poo compared to the real magnetic ones in an electric bass guitar.

I just picked one up for this reason, to be able to pick up and play without having to connect anything. It is a decent discount off the going rate at other places, so I can justify doubly justify it as being a good deal for something cool.

It scratches the new gear itch, for sure.

Can anyone comment whether Zager Guitars are all they're built up to be, or are they just over-priced?

I bought the Kingman on the last deal here.....Pro Audio? So one acoustic bass is plenty. I have a nice Fender acoustic amp that I can run that and a few of my acoustic guitars through.

I mean you don't have to plug in an electric either

It arrived today, looks great, sounds great. I'm really happy with it for the price.

Weirdly, it was tuned like a 5 string with the lowest string at B (BEAD instead of EADG), but actually played ok and sounded pretty good like that. But tuned properly, it sounds and plays great. Much more satisfying than playing the electric unplugged.
